This policy governs the cancellation terms for bookings made on GetPool, in accordance with the Israeli Consumer Protection Law 5741-1981.
1. Cancellation under the Consumer Protection Law
1.1 A consumer may cancel a booking made remotely within 14 days of the transaction or of receiving the confirmation, provided that at least 7 business days remain before the service date.
1.2 The cancellation must be notified in writing (email, SMS or letter) to GetPool or to the host. The date the notice is received is the one that counts.
1.3 The law allows a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ₪100 (whichever is lower). GetPool waives it and refunds the full amount (100%) within 7 business days via the original payment method.
1.4 Extended 4-month window for people with disabilities, senior citizens (65+) and new immigrants (olim) where the sale was made by phone call. Same terms; documentation to be provided within 14 days.
2. Cancellation outside the statutory window
2.1 Bookings made less than 14 days before the service, or with fewer than 7 business days remaining, do not fall under the statutory protections (except the case in §1.4).
2.2 The host's own cancellation policy applies. It is displayed at the time of booking on the listing page.
2.3 The guest confirms acceptance of this policy at the time of booking.
2.4 Default policy: the "Standard" profile applies — full refund under the statutory right of withdrawal (cancellation ≤14 days after booking and ≥7 days before the date); outside this window, non-refundable. The host may choose a more flexible policy (partial or full refund closer to the date), shown on the listing page at the time of booking. GetPool and the host exercise reasonable flexibility in cases of medical emergency or force majeure.
2.5 The non-refundable amount due to the host is deducted from the guest payment and any difference is paid to the host.
3. Cancellation and refund procedure
3.1 The written request must include the booker's name, the dates and the name of the property.
3.2 A confirmation is sent specifying the amount refunded or the fees withheld.
3.3 Refund time: 7 business days (statutory framework) or up to 14 business days (non-statutory framework).
3.4 If payment is in progress (installments), GetPool handles the cancellation with the payment provider.
3.5 Non-refundable fees from payment providers (PayPal, crypto, etc.) may be deducted from the refund.
4. Cancellation by the host or the company
4.1 If the host cancels, the guest is refunded in full (100%) or offered an equivalent alternative. Repeated unjustified cancellations may lead to the host being removed.
4.2 In the event of a material non-conformity found on the day (pool unusable, space unavailable), notify the host and the company immediately. GetPool investigates and may authorize cancellation with a refund or alternative compensation.
4.3 Force majeure (war, pandemic, lockdown, natural disaster, emergency orders): date postponement or cancellation free of charge, according to official directives.
4.4 Change requests (date change): considered subject to availability. A significant change may entail a price adjustment; if no availability, the standard cancellation policy applies.
